Dr. Fitz obtained her undergraduate degree in Spanish from Haverford College in 1993, then went on to do genetics research at Northwestern University for several years. She pursued her medical degree at Northwestern University and completed her Ob Gyn training at the University of Maryland in 2003. After working for more than a decade in traditional gynecological practices, she became interested in finding a way to incorporate more holistic approaches with patients. Her interests in nutrition and meditation lead her to pursue a two-year fellowship at the Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine under the leadership of world-renowned integrative physician: Dr. Andrew Weil. Since then, she completed functional medicine training through the Institute of Functional Medicine and honed her clinical skills working under the mentorship of Dr. Susan Blum at the Blum Center for Health.

In December 2017, Dr. Fitz founded her private practice: Women’s Integrative Health. Her goal was to create a very small, consultation practice where she could truly devote herself to patient care in a holistic environment where every woman would feel welcome and completely at home.
